But Edgeworth is a legitimate danger to himself and others in ways that I understand. You sought my advice about whether it should go reported. I'm saying yes, it should, especially with Petrelli's account of your injuries.

And if Sirius Black continues to sow discontent against my staff and physically assault them, then something should be done about that too and that much I would seek your advice on in return.

It's not my about my privacy, or being embarrassed, or being worried that I might be punished (I haven't done a damn thing to be brigged for, just for the record). But if I'm the one used as the example it'll be brushed aside. I don't want that to happen.

You are right, though, that it does need to be addressed.

[ Just preferably without it being filed under 'justified'. Severus knows Edgeworth will make it about him, and that Black will back him up. They'll be put in a position of fighting over the same old stupid shit, and the point will be utterly overshadowed and lost.

Is he being frustrating at Charles? Probably. But the telepath is significantly Better At People than Severus is; even if a mutant wasn't involved, he'd probably have gone to bounce this off of him. Maybe something they can actually use will shake out. ]

Simply put: Tyke will want an example and that is the one we have on hand.

It'd be the first time I've ever not been dismissed, and circumstances have been far more extreme in the past. It would be unbelievably reckless and emotive of my own pride to pretend otherwise.

I trust your instinct about these matters but I think it'll go badly. If you think this is what should happen, I understand arguing about it incessantly won't help either.

Genuinely, he doesn't want this to end badly, but also genuinely, he wholeheartedly believes it will, because that is the entirety of his experience. Severus really and truly doesn't understand why he wouldn't argue this. ]

It could go badly you know. I'm not discounting the possibility nor am I choosing the path of least resistance in an effort to mitigate all possible negative response.
But of the options at hand I do think this is the better one. Talking frankly to Tyke is going over their heads and paying her respect, while engaging Edgeworth (and Black by extension) directly would turn her against me while I don't think Edgeworth would listen, and doing nothing isn't my style.
Full disclosure, however, is that Tyke does not wholly trust me due to my being what I am and her potential denial as to what she is (mildly telepathic capability I think). But that is also a case towards being honest and direct about what's happened. I think she will be fair.
