but I think for a first date, the chap ought to be the one to bring what requires bringing

do we seem quaint to you? Erik, Hank, Raven, etc.
we have people here from a couple of hundred years or so before me that seem absolutely backwards
I suppose we've hit a plateau of social modernness when it comes to being able to relate as peers

and mutants haven't been around for over a century either, so some of that is similar

times of bloodshed and civil strife can put a halt on some forms of progress
