more specifically my stepfather had some notions about the inevitability of nuclear war and had one built under our house a little bigger than the standard air-raid shelter
the only student who might have suffered head injury would be Sean Cassidy, I'll have you know he fell out a window when we were testing something astonishingly suffered no injury when Erik pushed him off a satellite experiment successful
[ Except maybe he shouldn't be wasting Severus' time with talk about a subject that is dustier than he remembers, unsettling in how quickly he relaxes into talking about it. The next text is set quick on the back of the last, self-conscious; ]
[ Without verbal forewarning, Severus meanders over to Charles's office - waits a bit in the doorway, observing the palpable aura of passive aggressive ire as it warps to proper aggression.
He sets a tin down on the edge of Xavier's desk. Tea, his own make.
Following your conversation with our Mr Edgeworth, I took the initiative on Medical's behalf to make all relevant records available to Security at their discretion. I've further informed all patients involved of the decision and assured them that in the event their records are accessed, I will keep them informed.
[ Charles backspaces and forwardspaces a lot more than he'd like to let on and so is in the midst of judging how much swearing he can get away with with his own professionalism intact by the time Severus steps into view. There's a flick of a glance towards the tin of tea.
No break in texting pace, nor is he any less genuinely annoyed at the conversation he's wrangling, but there's the indentation of a half-smile.
[ He thinks it's for the best that Charles doesn't divert to speak to him. Severus doesn't much want to keep talking about it; the whole thing shook him and he'd rather not draw attention to that fact. Deciding that Black couldn't have known and appearing to brush it off isn't a defense mechanism to cover up his reaction - it's biding his time.
Tea delivered, Severus goes back to his own office, and carries on with work. ]
It wasn't the most subtle thing I've ever seen. I don't know the motive, but I don't see that my department should be portrayed as negligent to enable it.
I have a fair suspicion as to motive and the good graces not to spell it out in public but suffice to say the report I've submitted concerns a member of Security who'll probably get away with it under the 'reckless stupidity' clause and I won't be surprised whatsoever if Edgeworth bloody well knows it
If this business of formally requesting investigation is going to be necessary, Lily Potter and I will personally and individually present each file. She's just agreed.
Then the drinks are on you. At this rate, though, there's never going to be an appropriate occasion for my champagne.
Ryuuzaki from Comms said he'd take a look at any equipment that's appeared. I figure his insight can't hurt. He also suggests keeping comms devices away from any of it until we're certain what it all is, in the event the 'virus' is present.
[ Can you detect the ??? in there Charles ]

right perhaps it would be imperative for him to check existing systems also if equipment can appear, perhaps also can programming
[ Severus may be ???, but Charles is at least a ?. ]
as for comms devices, certainly bearing in mind of course that equipment will appear anywhere and any time we could put a temporary ban on bringing devices into the department at all
